Kybella is a non-surgical option to help “melt” fat in the submandibular/double chin area.
The medication, deoxycholic acid, is injected into the fat where it causes it to liquify and resolve over weeks. It is indicated when the majority of the excess tissue is fat and not excess skin. If the excess is severe, Liposuction or platysmaplasty may be a better option.
