Breast Augmentation

Breast augmentation is a surgical procedure aimed at enhancing the size and shape of a woman’s breasts.

This is typically achieved through the insertion of breast implants, which can be filled with saline or silicone. The procedure is often sought for various reasons, including aesthetic enhancement, rebuilding the breast after mastectomy, or correcting asymmetry. Candidates for breast augmentation should be in good health, have realistic expectations, and discuss their goals and concerns.
During the consultation, we will discuss the risks and benefits of saline and gel implants. We use sizers to determine desired volume and discuss the options for incision and the tissue plane (submuscular, sub-glandular or dual plane).

Recovery from Breast Augmentation

In addition to physical changes, breast augmentation can have psychological benefits, boosting self-esteem and body image for many women. Recovery from the procedure varies but typically involves some discomfort, swelling, and bruising, which can be managed with prescribed pain relief and proper care. Patients are advised to follow the post-operative instructions closely to facilitate healing and achieve optimal results.
